It's Thomas the Train 24/7 around these parts. While browsing Pinterest, I saw that Thomas and his Friends were pulling into B&O Museum the day before my birthday (April 26th), for "A Day Out With Thomas" and I knew there was no better way to bring in the big "31" than surprising PRince Nick with a trip to see his partner in cheekiness. My how things have changed. My birthday used to be all about primping and turning all the way up (still is low-key ;-), but this year, I tossed and turned all night, anticipating the excited look on Nick's face. I kept mum about our adventure until the day Thomas was scheduled to pull into Baltimore. We went to church as usual, but I told Nick that there was big surprise. I was literally bursting at the seams with excitement! As I changed Nick into his Thomas gear, he asked, "What is it, Mommy?" "Where are we going?" Finally, we arrived and I said, "Thomas is here! We're going to meet Thomas!"

Merry-go-riding
There were carnival rides and tons of activities for the children as well, all of which were free 99. In fact, entrance was free. The only thing you had to pay for was the train ride (tickets had to be purchased in advance), professional pictures and food, which was sky high. Oh, and the overpriced merchandise strategically placed throughout the museum. You were not leaving without buying a $20 + souvenir. But it was so worth it. MAJOR tantrum aside - Nick was laid out on the floor when it was time to go. I literally had to drag him out of the museum - we had some much fun. I plan on visiting with Thomas again he next time he pulls into town. Check HERE to see when A Day Out With Thomas is headed your way!
