Chambray Saturday

Hey everyone! I'm SO excited for the warm weather. Parks, parties and museums - oh my! Now that PRince Nick  is 2 1/2, I plan to do a bit more exploring with him (behavior permitting), as he's finally old enough to (kind of) appreciate the outings. On Saturday, we attended a 3rd birthday party for my friends' daughter. We enjoyed ourselves, and Nicholas ripped and ran the entire time. It pains me to admit it, but my child is THAT child. You know, the extra child. He's the child that doesn't listen, doesn't share, spills things, falls out, screams, touches everything he shouldn't, etc. And because he's a master manipulator, he knows when I'm about to reach my breaking point (past time out and headed towards a spanking), so he gives the most pitiful glance, and I (typically) recant his impending punishment. Pretty much, Nicholas is all about stunts and shows. In his (and my) defense, he's two, so he's supposed to be terrible, right??? Praying that the next two-years fly by. For the party, I pulled out a chambray top I bought Nicholas from Gap last year. It was a little big then, but since it was on sale, I couldn't leave it behind. I'd describe Nicholas' style as cool, casual, prep. We're not about Jordans and jerseys (though JB was at that age. My tastes have thankfully evolved), and I like his clothes to fit. We do lots of color, prints, graphic tees, fun shoes and he's got a mean arsenal of hats. Occasionally, we throw in a high-end or indie brand. I'll have to buy Nicholas a few water guns. He clearly enjoyed playing with them.
