Hey, all! How was your weekend? You already know what we spent our Saturday doing: attending yet another birthday party. No complaints, though; it's what suPeR moms do. Especially if you have preschool aged children. The shade is when Nick's birthday rolls around (12.25) it's difficult getting children to attend his celebration for several reasons. The weather, travel, parents are broke from Christmas shopping, etc. To be considerate, I try to have his birthday celebration the first week of December; it's just less stressful for everyone. Fortunately, Nick is still at that age where he doesn't really care about who comes, so long as there's cake, presents and someone sings happy birthday. But anyways, we attended a Halloween-themed birthday party for one of his classmates. It was an overcast day, so Nick dressed the part in an ombre/tie-dye grey look with tan accents.
He coordinated well with my semi-new ride :-). His shoes brought out the tan in his button down. I'm about a (not too) skinny jean, and the fit on this grey Osh Gosh pair was perfect.

He's much happier than he looks.

I grubbed and socialized with the other moms, while the children ran around the park, and participated in fall activities. I especially loved the pumpkin painting. Each child got their own paints, stickers and pumpkin to decorate and take home, which I thought was a super fun (and messy) touch. Of course, Nick managed to cover himself in paint. I understand why kids should wear actual play clothes - they're going to get dirty. I know Nick is going to soil his clothing. I'm going to fuss when he spills juice on a new shirt or muddies up his fresh kicks. But guess what? He'll step out street style sharp anyways. #FashionKidsProblems #FashionMomProblems.
