Happy 4th of July + Stripes, On Stripes, On Stripes

Happy Independence Day!

We were supposed to head to the beach for a fun family day, but the monsoon we woke up to shut that down. We also planned to watch the fireworks. I went to a quick cookout, and returned to a house full of sleeping boys. Well, except Nick. Since I thought our evening itinerary was no more,  I dressed Nick in his patriotic best, and we went to visit my suPeR mom bestie, who prepared a feast complete with fireworks that rivaled those at the national mall.

I LOVED Nick's look for the day. It was all in the details - plays on stripes with the seersucker overalls and shoes, and a rocking take on the American flag. It definitely wasn't Nick's best hair day. May have actually been his worst hair day,  but his smile and snazzy fit made up for it.
