Pumpkin Patches and Bell Bottoms at the Four Seasons Baltimore

ree

Fall is the most beautiful season and my absolute favorite. It’s a season rooted in traditions, cozy rituals, colorful outings, and special memories. And one tradition that’s stuck with us since Faye was just a baby is our annual visit to the pumpkin patch—always with her in a pair of bell bottoms.

I’m not sure how or why it started, but I love that it did. The very first time I dressed Faye in bell bottoms for the pumpkin patch was her second year at Clark’s Elioak Farm. She wore the cutest burnt orange pair from Style Me Mama, and I was completely smitten with the look. Those little bell bottoms became iconic, trended on the gram, so much so that we even featured that look in her children’s book, Boobies Go Bye-Bye (which will soon be back on Amazon for all to enjoy).

After that, it was official: bell bottoms became our pumpkin patch staple. Every year, we switch up the color. The following year, we went apple picking in matching denim bell bottoms, and this year, we chose rich tan and brown shades. It’s funny how motherhood is full of these small but meaningful traditions we create on our own—like Faye’s pumpkin patch bell bottoms. To some it’s random and extra, but it’s us, and that’s what makes it special.

This year’s adventure took us to the Four Seasons Baltimore, where Faye and her bestie got to explore a rooftop pumpkin patch with the most breathtaking skyline views. At $35 for me and $15 for each of the girls, the entry came with a signature cocktail (mocktail for me, as it’s still Sober October!) and a cider for the girls, along with a fun activity—pumpkin painting. It was a windy day, but the weather didn’t stop us from enjoying every moment. The rooftop was filled with moms and little ones, all taking in the beauty of the city and the festive setting.

We enjoyed delicious light bites, including a creamy crab dip and warm pretzels. The girls barely touched their chicken tenders and fries (per usual), and my mocktail was the perfect refresher (although I wish I’d had one of their seasonal cocktails. But Sober October). There’s something about being surrounded by other moms, kids’ laughter filling the air, and the charm of fall festivities that makes you stop and savor the moment.

Though this particular pumpkin patch experience has come to an end, I’ll be back soon for a spa day. Four Seasons Baltimore is my absolute favorite. I’ve been to DC, LA, Oakland locations, and Baltimore holds the title. The Four Seasons has holiday events loading up, and I’ll be to share what’s next. Until then, I’ll hold on to this tradition of bell bottoms and pumpkin patches with Faye for as long as she’ll let me match her fly.

Shop our looks here. Sadly my Amazon The Drop Takkunda blazer is sold out for the time being.
